Instructions for Authors

General Instructions
We accept oral presentations, workshop proposals, and posters. Submissions may be made in French, English, or Arabic.

Submissions must be made via the conference website on the “Submit a Proposal” page.

Accepted submissions will be announced on the website. 

Important Dates

- April 7, 2026 - Call for papers opens

- June 1, 2026 - Call for papers closes

- June 29, 2026 - Notification of the Scientific Committee’s decisions

- September 2026 - Final conference program released

 

Call for Papers

The conference will take place from November 23 to 26, 2026, at the National Library of the Kingdom of Morocco in Rabat.

Presentations will be delivered in French, Arabic, or English. Each presentation will be recorded and streamed live (presenters must give their consent). 

The final version of the presentation must be submitted by September 30, 2026, in PDF format, via opensciencesud4@sciencesconf.org. It will be made freely available on the conference website under a CC-BY license.will last 15 minutes, followed by a 10-minute Q&A session. All presentations will be recorded and streamed live

Information to be entered on the conference website under the "Submit a Paper" page:

- Title (Title of the paper)

- Authors (Affiliations, Email addresses)

- Topics (Select topics from the list on the first page of this call for papers)

- Language of the paper (French / English)

- Keywords (3–5 keywords)

The abstract (maximum 500 words) should outline the presentation’s objectives, context, and content. If your presentation focuses on a case study, please also describe the methodology and resources used, as well as the results of the study and future prospects.should outline the presentation’s objectives, context, and content.

 

For workshops and posters, the topics have been expanded to include:

- free software, 

- open educational resources,

- citizen science,

- open scientific publishing,

- and other activities related to open science.

 

Workshop Proposals

The conference workshops will be held on November 25, 2026, at the National Library of the Kingdom of Morocco in Rabat.

Information to be entered on the conference website under the “Submit a Proposal” page:

- Title (Workshop title)

- Authors (Affiliations, Email addresses)

- Themes (Select themes from the list on the first page of this call for papers)

- Workshop language (French / English)

- Keywords (3–5 keywords)

- Duration (3 hours maximum)

The rooms are equipped with internet access and a projector.

 

Poster Submission

If your poster is accepted, you must submit a PDF file by October 15, 2026, and bring a printed copy for display on the day of the conference: A0 format (84.1 x 118.9 cm) in portrait orientation. The digital version (PDF) will be made freely available on the conference website under a CC-BY license.
